So what about Lewis?

If Mathieu took Hurd's spot, which i'm sure he did, how bad does it hurt us with Lewis?

Lewis is a LB. Why would it hurt him by picking up a DB? It would hurt Shaw more than Lewis. I still think if Shaw wants to come here we still take him too. It would be foolish to not continue pursuing Lewis. In 2-3 years, he'll be the best LB in this class.

I completely agree and I like him more then smith. However, it was unlikely to happen without Hurd.

Are they going to go to the same college for sure? I think that the Aggies are kind of just making up stuff about Nelson, Patterson, and Davis all going to the same school, even though that is a different situation.

I wouldn't say that but now it may happen. I hate package deal talks, but Lewis was being hyped to LSU because of Hurd. Probably won't be doing that anymore.
If we are cooling down on Lewis, I could see A&M being the spot. There in his backyard.

i would take lewis over taylor because i watch lewis play but if lewis goes to texas a&m taylor would still be a good fit

Supposedly the coaches were very impressed with Taylor. They may be turning more of their attention his way now.

My pecking order is Lewis, then Smith, then Taylor. JMO.
