Saban will never be as successful at Bama as he was at LSU. Now that the recruiting balance is back in tact at Tennessee and Auburn, he simply won't have the LA horses he had at LSU in the long run.

This is a quote from the author...

quote:

@Justin : That's a fair point, or maybe Saban was letting them learn a lesson so when all the chips were on the table in the following years they'd remember what happened when they take an opponent too lightly and get too distracted... Saban knew they weren't ready, but felt it would be the ultimate learning tool... No kid is really sure the stove is hot till they touch it... They remember it longer that way too... If we won that game, we're in the top 10, if we lose, we're in the top 10, little motivating for "beating" them into submission instead of letting them learn an important lesson themselves... For all the years Saban was at LSU, I know you know the number one thing he hammers on, FINISHING... Now our players know what happens when you don't.... It could serve us big this year....

This dumbass actually believes Saban lost against Utah on purpose to teach his team a "lesson".

Almost? Saban almost beat mighty UAB in Tiger Stadium, but sadlty could not.

oh shut the frick up. bama should not have even been in the game with those bums they had. if you even think the talent gap was remotely close...you are retarded and/or on coke.

quote:

More talented? I count 2 LSU & 2 Bummers on the Offense & 2 LSU & 3 Bummers on the Defense. Bummer came to LSU with the #1 ranking in College football, and could not beat LSU in 60 minutes of Football.

bc the #1 ranking is indicative of how much better they are than us right? our recruiting classes were rated higher, we had the loftier preseason rankings, we had more talent overall on our team. why would they put players on a bad team over players on a good team???

for instance, was coffee, grant, ingram, etc. that much more impressive than charles scott, keiland, richard, trindon, ridley, etc?? frick no, bama was just a better team because of...better coaching during the regular season

I agree. Posting an ALL-SEC listing doesn't tell the whole story on who has better athletes across the board, and who has more depth.

Perhaps if we didn't have the monstrosity known as Malveto coaching our defense, we might have had better athletes standout and not given up as many points and lastly, won more games.

Why is it a surprise to anyone that a Bama fan thinks poorly of Les Miles?

He's LSU's coach. They're not supposed to like him.

Duh.

We've heard this all before. After Saban left, it was "LSU football's not going to be a factor ever again."

After Skip retired and the program went south under Smoke..."well, so much for the glory days of LSU baseball."

After Dale left..."we won't be hearing anything out of LSU basketball for a while."

Nothing shuts up the doubters and the haters like success.

Err, I think it had a lot more to do with the fact that Bama had a senior QB who didn't lose games for them, unlike us.

its the SEC, bama was 1 season removed from a top 10 season. You think the talent gap between LSU and UAB wasn't greater than LSU-Bama? How about Bama-ULM? LSU-Oregon State? LSU-Kentucky? UF-Ole Miss?

its a road game in the SEC, they aren't easy wins

it was a good 12 year old response though

2008 LSU vs. Alabama - single game
Miles > Saban
LSU < Alabama

Better play-calling. Horrible production.
