The winner of the Florida v LSU game the past three years has won the national championship: What does that tell us? Will the trend continue? Are these the two best programs in the nation?

Might hold true again this year. Even if LSU loses at Georgia, the Tigers will be highly ranked enough at that time to be able to springboard back into the conversation with a win v. Florida.

The Gators have the horses this year though. No doubt about that, especially on defense.

If LSU wins in Tiger Stadium they would likely have to play the Gators again in the SEC championship.

You really think the Tigers would beat em twice?

It's all about the winner of the SEC Championship game.

It's a good question. Of course, I hope that we beat them the first time. I have already bought my tickets out of San Diego and will be at the game. I am bringing a new LSU fan from California with me so that he can experience Death Valley in person.

If we beat Florida in October and meet them again at the SEC Championship then think of what had to happen for that to be possible. Yeah, if we beat them once this year, we could and should beat them again.

Everybody says, "They've got Tebow!" Yeah. But one guy can't beat us. We aren't USC playing Texas. Besides, we may have a couple of athletes with as much athleticism (if not more) than Tebow.

To be honest, I dont completely write Georgia off of winning the East. One scenario that I hope plays out is Georgia beats Florida, and their only SEC loss comes to LSU. Of course, Florida beats LSU in the regular season but doesn't get to the SECCG.

I never thought we would beat Georgia twice in 2003 and we did. A game is a game and if you play your best no matter who the opponent is you will win, most of the time.

Yes, the trend will continue because Florida will beat LSU and then win the BCSCG.

nice. so because you already proved that you were better in the first game, your odds go down against the same team in the second game.

i REALLY HATE this stupid myth

if you win a blowout than you may have proved you were the better team. But have you ever heard of something called a bad day or adjustments.

Think about it. 2007, we beat Florida in a classic at home, a game which they were better than us for 45 minutes. I would not say if we played them again it would be a guarentee victory.

We had more leadership in the 07 game, thats why we were blown out in games last year. We got behind and everybody gave up. Remember the Alabama game in 07, we were also behind, Auburn too. There was no quit in that team in 07, even our losses were in OT. This 09 team better man up.

Lots of ifs come to mind but I would think it's a safe bet to say the SECCG winner may well play the Big12CG winner for the title. I would bet on the SEC champ if that turns out to be the case. I think Florida wins the whole thing this year and the only team on their schedule capable of beating them (without some quirky fluke) is LSU.

We beat Jawja twice in 03' and they were really good that year.
