you are only as good as your weakest link:

weakest: center play. one of the most important positions
on the offensive line, if lsu is to have a very good year, one of
the rs freshmen must play big, i am betting t-bob will rule big time, and patrick lonergan will be an adequate back up.

next weakest is kicking. jasper or one of the walkons must come thru and at least be adequate or you could loose a couple of games from this alone. jasper missed an easy one in the spring game. the jc punter might be pretty good.

next tie: defensive line, the third receiver, and fullback. no problem with all three . brick will have the talented defensive line ready to go; scott , a walk on or dominque will fill in
admirably at fullback. tigers will have a 3rd and 4th receiver
with randle and chris mitchell. no problems.

after making this list, my biggest concer is field goal kicking.

The O-line is what concerns me the most, but they will allow fewer sacks due to Jeffersons agaility and speed.

i expect JJ to shine. my concern still lies in our defense. hopefully the new hires will make all the difference

i would say between lonergan and hebert you have talent at center just no experience, which after helms is hard to swallow i know. Which ever one gets the nod though i feel in like 2 to 3 years we will be saying is the strength of the line both are great talents. You could say that for a majority of the young lineman on both sides of the ball, they just need experience, give it time we will keep putting D-lineman in the NFL year in and year out.

My biggest concern is after LaFell, an unproven athlete in Toliver, and a young freshman stud Randle, someone has to step up. What i've learned as an LSU fan is we've won games with big catches from our WR's. It's not just a matter of being fast it's being clutch in big time games. I wanna say Chris Toliver is going to step up for us, he showed me alot in the spring game

Quarterback. Young and inexperienced there. Solid play in his limited starts so there is good reason to be very excited but still a bit of a question mark.

QB: Because JJ has yet to go through a season where everyone can properly evaluate his weaknesses/strengths to gameplan against. Like it or not, its still a huge question mark at this position, just like last year.

I'll take our list of 'weak' links over just about anyone else's in the conference right now, straight up.

Quarterback won't be an issue..i'm confident of that..JJ may have a couple of boneheaded plays but I think as much talent as he has running and throwing the football, and the fact he can't be worse than lee, i think he'll be fine..

I think Helton will be ok, but of course we'll have to see..Hopefully T-Bob emerges as a strong center, but that is undoubtedly a weak link..

Coaching, I agree! I love Les Miles and Gary Crowton but they should have handle that QB situation different. GC should have been on the sidelines to mentor JL.

Aren't there supposed to be a couple of walk-on FG kickers that are pretty good? Drew Alleman and Tyler Listi are their names I think

When you say "weaknesses" I think you mean question marks. Some of those will probably wind up being strengths.
