The LSU/Florida game will be the first that I will attend since graduating. I've never had to think about hotels before. Any suggestions?

One of the nicer hotels in BR and walking distance to the downtown night life and casinos.

They are building a new one right next to Southgate Towers... looks damn fine. Don't know when it will be open though. Cook conference center isn't bad either.

New Holiday Inn Express on Constitution has a nice sports bar (Sporting News Grill) and is walking distance to Gold Club and other Bennington Ave. bars.

Probably all the hotels are booked up for the Florida game. Good luck finding a room!

If you can get a room, Lod Cook is on campus and right on the lakes.

The wife and I just stayed at the Hilton Capital Center last Saturday evening. Great hotel, valet service ultra slow, though. We stayed in the Huey P. Long Suite overlooking the Old Capitol, the Mississippi River Bridge and the Gardens across from the Shaw Center. Highly recommended!!

Echoing others, Hilton Capitol Center is a great choice if they have rooms available and you're willing to pay a premium for the Florida weekend. If you can, get a room on the Executive level--you get free breakfast and free drinks and hors d'oeuvres (good quality) in the executive lounge in the evenings. I saw Verne Lundquist in there the Friday before the Ole Miss game last year!

All good options but the new hotel in front of Southgate Towers looks intriguing with a short walk to the stadium.
