I saw it as Bodhi's Avatar image and it got me thinking about what this photo represents.

I wore a 12 year old hat to the Omaha and had a couple of people say

All hats suck today. I wear a 8 and the one size fits all is BS! What ever happened to TRUELY sized hats?

yep. I buy alot of hats that don't seem to fit right so it pisses me off. Now I buy mostly nonfitted hats.

I know I'll get hammered but I respectfully suggest that most of the respondents missed your point: that hat is a combination of dirt, ringed by the white salt of sweat, and a heavy dose of superstition in which a player never washes or allows his hat to be washed. And you're right - it's what wins baseball championships. That's all...and great pic!

Thanks very much panda. Flat brim - curved brim, old hat - new hat was not what I had in mind when I started the thread.
If I was LSU's SID, I'd have this color photo in the 2010 media guide and program.
To win takes work. When I see a sweaty LSU hat, I instantly think of all the hard work required to win championships.
