Hey all. I went to Johnny D's new place on Coursey for lunch today. His wings are easily best I have had in the city and his pizza was amazing. He is open in case you didn't know. A review will be posted on my site soon.

Also, a football camp is being held today and former tigers Glenn Dorsey, Corey Webster, and others as well as current tigers Jordan Jefferson, Charles Scott, etc are helping put it on. Them, along with other NFL and NCAA players, will be eating at Johnny D's tonight. Just wanted to pass on the news.

and opie did a damn good job. if opie's wings taste like his, then they are tied for best wings in the city

it was huge, they are making it a part of the menu from now on.

it was as big as two izzos, there were about 20 people trying to eat it at the same time as me, only 1 person finished it. i ate about 75% of it but could not finish it. as for taste, it was a burrito. i will never do that to myself again

75% isn't too shabby. i ate an illegal from izzo's in about 10 minutes and i was able to probably keep eating. i should have went but i kind of forgot about it.

also, i think there were football players at johnny d's. i passed by it and i'm pretty sure i saw glenn dorsey and some other guys who definitely played football

Opie's wings are fried. He showed Johnny how to do them naked (no batter) because thats how the place in new york does them. Opie would probably do them that way if you asked.

I've never had Johnny Wings, but Opies are freaking slamming...and its ridiculous how cheap they were...I got some last week and they had a 2 for 1 special going on for anything on the menu.....don't know how long its lasting, but the dude said at least a couple weeks....
