Beating Texas for the National Championship

There have been some watershed moments in the history of LSU baseball. Tonight was one of those moments. Another was in 1989 at the Texas A&M Regional when LSU won two games on Sunday from the Aggies to advance to Eauxmaha. I was fortunate enough to be at both events. LSU will prosper in many more ways for years to come other than just winning their 6th national championship. One of the things that was very apparent in wathcing Texas is that they think their program is superior to LSU's. Not after tonight. LSU will bring in the cream of the crop for years to come by winning tonight. This was devastating to the horns tonight. They were all cocky that it was over last night. I didn't get this vibe. Their tradition extends farther back than ours. But they know their standards are sky high, as are ours. I don't think an arrogant vibe was sent out though.

Beating big name baseball schools like Miami, Stanford, and Texas for some of our titles make them even better.

Many schools demand more national coverage than LSU but no team besides Florida collects more National Titles.

I am not the type of person to rub in victory, but those frickwads are the most cocky SOBs I've ever met. I personally hate them more than any other school. From the players to the fans, they show NO class. I'm so glad we beat the shite out of them. Great series, but i'm glad we domtinated them the way we did TODAY

Hey lets not shortchange Gene and the shockers now...I always root for them when they are on the postseason for nostalgia's sake...How cool would it be to play the shockers in the finals again, with us winning of course
