After watching six national championships in baseball and two in football, I am spoiled. I was actually more relieved than overjoyed.

You should have been at LSU in the early 80's. Perspective.

I know, and I hate Florida, but imagine what their fans feel like.... back to back in basketball, then 2 in 3 years in football... all in about a 4 year span...

I was there in the late 80's. I have a lot of perspective, especially in football.

Don't forget 2 BCS blowout wins in other years not winning the title. Don't forget 1986 Final Four and 2006 Final Four.

I know me and my friend were having this same conversation the other day. I grew up with LSU pretty much rarely coming through in the clutch, losing bowl games, and just being happy with 2-4 loses a season in football and baseball just getting going in full swing. Basketball was pretty good then hit some lean years. Now it seems like now the Tigers always come through in the clutch always win the big games, not just football, but for the most part the whole athletic department. Great time to be a Tiger fan, the athletic department as a whole has always been good, but LSU is truly an elite athletic program as a whole now and I am so proud and happy to be a Tiger fan. We as a fan base have seen alot of good and bad but we should be truly happy to live now and see the things we have seen lately. Now if the Saints can only win the Superbowl, I can die a happy man.
