since Bradshaw was already burned out tonight
i wouldn't say Bradhsaw is quite burned out if needed he could give an inning does anyone know what his pitch count was

Well being this guy is a pitcher who pitches to contact and lets his defense make the plays behind him. I am hoping the fact heat, plus stadium has a few balls that are just long flies in texas stadium become home runs in Omaha. 6 of his 11 home runs have come outside of UT Stadium

Just like LSU, Texas will use their bullpen early and often if they need to. I expect to see them use Wood and Workman. Here's hoping Ranaudo can give LSU 6 or 7 solid innings with Coleman and Jones for relief and Matty Ott to close. It'll be interesting to see if PM makes any adjustments to the lineup and batting order. I would keep Landry in and maybe move J-Mitch up in the order.

I figure Ranaudo will start, Ross will come in if he falters early, Coleman may pitch 1-2 innings, Jones/Bertucci may pitch inning, and Ott can close it out.
So if Ranaudo goes 6 then we may see, 7th Coleman, 8th Jones, 9th Ott

Wood and Workman.
both spent quality time in the bullpen tonite - they're both ready to go
as to how effective, no way of telling -I gotta think Wood's arm is in the same shape as Coleman's - 1 maybe 2 innings

Coleman's gotta be pissed. He'll want to go some tomorrow.
Hopefully the ump calls strikes at the knees unlike game 1. Ranaudo and Coleman will both have to rely on keeping the fastball down there.
Also hopefully the three innings didn't take too much out of Ott. He'll be the one to go in the 9th, and it'll most likely be a save situation. (hopefully not) but it probably will be.
Best case scenario: Ranaudo 7, Coleman 8th, Ott 9th.
Tigers go .
ETA: Oh yeah, the bats better wake up, because if we only get one run, it probably won't matter how our pitchers throw.

I dont see that happening at all

Why not? Ranaudo hasn't pitched that much (relatively speaking) in the CWS. Only about 80 pitches vs. UVA and he went 6 vs. Arkansas. I don't remember his pitch count.
He can make it through 7 on four days rest from a not too strenuous last start.
ETA: He threw 77 vs. Arky. With four days rest, it's almost, almost like he's fully rested.

You could argue he has had 5 days rest
In all serious it will have been 110 hours since his last pitch. His arm is as fresh as it can be during the season. I would expect at least 6 out of him and I hope to see him pound Texas inside and not leave it out of the plate.

How do you see it playing out?
Renaud 7, Coleman the 8th, and Ott the 9th is definitely how I hope it goes down.

AR goes 5 at best
6,7, & 8 - couldnt say for sure, but some mix of Bertuccini, Jones, et al
9th with Ott
I cant see where Coleman sees the mound unless it's the 8th, both teams have been beat around and we're up by 1 or 2 runs, and it's situational

Do you see Ranaudo being shaky? If he's on, he's going for a while.

That's what i'm thinking.
If he pitching well, he'll get up to 100 pitches, or a few more, I would think.

Coleman will definitely see the mound for at least an inning tomorrow. Mainieri knows how he hates when he leaves off pitching bad, he won't let Coleman's last time on the mound be one of his worst. Coleman will get back out there with a vengeance

Hell all I know is Coleman is probably going to pitch at some point tomorrow/today. He is too much a warrior and game means alot to him and so does LSU.

no, but I see a sudden dropoff in his delivery after the 4th
I pray to the baseball gods that he goes 8, and the best thing about LSU and the CWS is that some Tiger ALWAYS steps up on the mound
(and I'm the only Tiger in a group of Longhorns - it's going to be a looooooooooooooooong flight back if we dont kick their arse)

Which arm does Green use to get the ball across?
