I fully expect Coach Mainieri to start Ross tomorrow night, and I have no problem with that. After all, he was our number three starter all year long, and for the most part gave us quality starts. But I really would love it if he gave the ball to Bradshaw. I don't remember the last time Daniel pitched poorly, and his start against Georgia was phenomenal. I just feel he has slightly better stuff, a fresher arm and would join that long list of Tigers who step up big in the postseason if he gets the chance.

Apparently it is. I didn't realize this was an issue. Ranaudo was the best we had most of the year, even better than Coleman for a good bit of the year. Ross is insurance for game 3, and Bradshaw is available in the pen whenever. That's great depth to have.

So its a no-brainer that a guy who has not started on less than 5 days (and usually 6 days) rest all year, will definitely get the start on 3 days rest? I assume you are privy to just how well he bounced back from throwing 80 pitches against Arkansas on Friday. He may need an extra day. This kid's got a lot of money in his future; they need to make sure he's physically ready if they throw him tomorrow night.

thank you...bradshaw/ross tomorrow, ranaudo wed. if necessary...hell if bradshaw/ross get us out to a lead, you could even have ranaudo come in the last 3-4 innings to finish them off

why not use your best arm when texas will for sure be using their best?

+1 for Ranaudo

I say Ranauldo. He's got great break away speed and is great on counters.

I don't think it matters who you put out there if Taylor Jungmann is going to start for Texas and pitches like he did tonight.

If LSU would have lost you have to go with Ranaudo, but since they won, no way do you pitch him in game 2. 3 days rest is not enough and you need to save him to face Texas' ace in game 3 if it goes that far. I am leaning to Bradshaw, but Ross would be just fine. I see them as almost interchangable at this point.

There is no question that Ranaudo will have a better arm Wednesday. He'll probably pitch better and be able to go longer.

The other side of that coin is that, for tomorrow, he is probably still better than Ross.

PM has to decide whether to play it smart or play it aggressively.

Are you more in touch than our coaches? What makes you an expert? Please post your resume so we can fire our dumb coach and hire you/

well i figure texas wont be saving anything for a hypothetical game 3. why should we give them a better shot of getting to that game 3. i dunno. but i do trust PM, whoever he goes with.

see the thing that bothers me is that PM is obviously giving some thought to going with Ross tomorrow. i honestly would be much more comfortable with Bradshaw than Ross if PM is going to go that route. i have no problem with Ranaudo, but if not him, then Bradshaw please
