I am a tiger fan, and I support all things tigers.

I am trying to figure out how the CWS work thought.

In that interactive bracket, how come after the Ark -Lsu game they skip a bracket then went straight tot he final game of LSU vs Texas?

the CWS is double elimination, thus Arkansas would have had to beat us twice to get to the championship series. That skipped game was the "if necessary game" between LSU and Arkansas that never happened because we gave them their second loss today. had they won we would have played them in that game tomorrow.

There are two separate double-elimination brackets, each with four teams. Games 13 & 14 would only be necessary if the team with one loss were to beat the undefeated team. Since both undefeated teams won (LSU & TX), neither Game 13 nor Game 14 will be necessary.

Yeah, me too. This is how it works..Since LSU is undefeated and UT lost to TCU, UT has to beat LSU twice, but LSU only has to win once to be champion.

You are wrong, lol. Granted I don't have much room to talk and my team is gone your understanding is very inaccurate. LSU plays a best 2 out of 3 series against Texas for the National Championship

Each segment of the tourney is double elimination essentially. Regionals, Super Regionals, two 4 team pools in CWS, CWS finals. Texas and LSU were both undefeated in the 4 team pools so the last games weren't neccessary. That's like if the Lakers and Orlando played games 6 and 7 eventhough the Lakers had won 4 out of 5.
