The players looked beat before the game even started. I have never seen a team playing in the CWS as dead as they were and then I found out why. When the interviewed VanHorn in the 3rd(I think)his body language, facial expressions, and words told me he had given up. I mean I know LSU put a beat down on them but 6 run lead in the 4th inning is not that much in college baseball.

i really think they were hoping/thinking that the lefty closer with the stellar era could give them 3 shutout innings to keep them in it, but when we hit the crap out of their best lefty they knew it was over

Yeah, I thought just breaking through with one run in the first was going to get them to thinking here we go again. They were right of course. Some times you have to just take your like a man.

Over on the Hogville game thread, their collective opinion was that the Hogs were just intimidated by this LSU team. They felt like they were beat before they even stepped on the field. They def had that hang dog look.

I know that look. I've had that look. In high school, I was a horrible football player. And played on a horrible team. We would go into some division games knowing we were in for a thrashing, and that's exactly what would happen. If that was the case, know wonder LSU handed them such a butt kicking.
