This makes no sense to me. If you are higher seated, there is no reason why you shouldn't be the home team in every game you play until you play a higher ranked opponent. REDICULOUS!

Omaha hates LSU...

Oh, and I'll be the first to say that the new stadium will NEVER be ready in time for the 2011 CWS.

If there's a second game tomorrow, we have the advantage of being home team.

Because both teams have been home the same amount & Arkansas has been visitor once more than LSU.

Well if LSU for some reason loses the game today, then they would be the home team tomorrow.

Batting last is NOT that big of an advantage anyway... Its not like the Price is Right where the person going last has the great advantage.

You have to get 27 outs no matter what...Hell if we score 6 in the first we might be able to save Ranaudo for game 1 of the NC series.

Well, if you know you need one run you play way different than if you don’t (ie: going into the top 9 tied is played different than going into the bottom)

Don't get me started on "playing for 1 run"...

It's just like the Price is Right.
You know if 1 run wins the game, ties the game or you need 5 runs to stay alive.

I guess in football overtime it does not matter who gets to have the ball last.

In the Price is Right, you can't stop the other person from betting $1 or $1 over your price. In baseball you still control your own destiny.

There are 2 ways of scoring in football OT with one being easier to achieve than the other (already in relatively easy FG range from the start) unlike in baseball, so its apples and oranges.

I don't like the way they determine home team, either. But we can score early and give Ranaudo some runs to make him feel more comfortable.
