Columbia Cafe (Kings and Columbia) - Menu changes and has been known to serve all sorts of game birds, rabbit, and various fish. Unique atmosphere and several, several imports.

Bella Fresca (Line Ave by Superior) - Quaint place and menu changes often. Great wine selection.

Olive Street Bistro (Olive by Line Ave) - Good Italian eatery with excellent fish. Good wines.

The Vintage (inside of Hollywood Casino) - A steak and drinks sort of place...very good crab and solid steaks. Good bartenders (was 2 years ago anyway).

Ernests's (top of the hill on Market St) - Best marinated clabclaws anywhere. Good LA seafood atmosphere.

The Cub (Kings and Youree) - No, not the bar (walk into the restaurant from the bar). The Cub has the best steak in Shreveport and awesome Au'gratin potatoes. About 20 peersons is all the restaurant can hold, so get there early. Afterwards, go have a beer and a shot from Carey.

* any of the above will surely have 1-2 cajun dishes. In any event, don't let that dictate a good meal.

Definitely good food, but wouldn't classify it anywhere near nice...Good place to eat then get drunk afterwards, though.

This would be my number one choice.

The steak is good, but to call it the best steak is false. Go to The Village for the best steak in Shreveport. Hell, Cush's has a very good Filet. The au'gratin potatoes at the Cub are money though.
