Thank Skip's ego and penny pinching expertise for running off Pat Henry.

If you know the whole story you'd realize you're a douche. Skip ran a business, and as a business decision refused to be strong armed by Henry.

And let me ask you, how much money is the A&M double worth? Was a double like that at LSU a financial windfall? Was it worth not putting the $ into improving Tiger Stadium and into the track facility? I mean c'mon if Skip was only bout himself why did football and basketball get improvements before baseball?

Nice attack on a guy who made us money and always won.

Max is working on a major story that will blow the lid off the ineptitude, sinister plots and bbq'd hot dogs that are sending LSU athletics to the trash bin of history...it will be mind boggling, stay tuned

skip is about the all mighty dollar, as are most AD's. But, his loyalty to the dollar compared to fan interests, winning traditions, etc seems MUCH greater than most.

Losing Henry was a terrible move.

TAF

If Skip were only about himself he would've hired his replacement based on which coach was willing to pay him six figures for his baseball camp.....oh wait nevermind.

manieri was a good hire.

we can also thank Skip for using the good old boy network (Smoke) to nearly derail the program.

And as AD FIRED the guy he hired to replace him.

Dude ran a business.

Oh, and the next guy he hired has his team in Omaha, again.

Skip is the best thing to happen to LSU athletics in the modern era. Those who can't see that are blind. LSU fans can never repay Bertman for what he has done for our athletic department.

Nobody is perfect, but his excellence does not come along very often. It's a standard that has not often been seen at LSU. All you have to do is review Joe Dean's record to know the value of Skip.

No. But if his biggest mistake is allowing a coach of a non-revenue sport, and no matter how successful Henry was T&F made no money, walk because they didn't bend to his demands, then he was successful. And that's what matters.

if you are gonna play this card, you also need to fault skip for almost derailing what might be considered the best team sports program in all of college sports

skip was a terrible AD

he was a PHENOMENAL fundraiser and should probably be running taf

there is a HUGE difference, and the people who are getting butthurt over maxs comments obviously fail to see the difference in the two

losing henry was just terrible

Did Skip commit a crime or kill somebody? Did his teams lose too much while he was AD? Let me know, i want to know what you think. Help persuade me to your side.
