I was in New Orleans last night and bumped into Saints TE Jeremy Shockey. He was a pretty cool guy, a lot taller than I expceted. I have always thought he is a Hell of a Player, and was super excited when the Saints signed him last year. However he didnt quite produce last year (0 touchdows and his injury)

Just curious what yall's thoughts are on Shockey Buy (he has a breakout season in NO and becomes to Brees as Witten is to Romo in Dallas) or Sell (his best days are behind)

It must have been someone else. Shockey would never do such a thing.

buy this year, throw the ball to him and if he has an all pro year, trade.

we need to get some draft picks back for this waste of a pick.

If he has an all-pro year, how would he be a waste of a pick?

I didn't think we needed him. We needed a TE, but after we decided to pass up on Olsen, I didn't understand trading a 2nd round pick for Shockey. To me it was essentially an admission of fricking up the previous year. I don't have a problem with Shockey, but as of right now, he hasn't earned a second rd pick.

If, if, if!!! If Reggie Bush averaged more than 3.8 ypc...if Robert Meachum could ever find his way out of the dog house...if Greg Williams can motivate two sloppy and lazy DEs...if Josh Bullocks didn't suck...if Jason David didn't suck...

"If" is how you start off an excuse.

tigerguy121 was just replying to slackhouse

Slackhouse said trade him if Shockey has an all pro year and called him a waste of a pick.

As of now he is a waste of a pick, but if he has an all pro year next year he won't be ... how is that an excuse??

Personally I think he'll do a lot better this year now that he's healthy.

Do you think Porter is a waste of a pick b/c he got hurt and didn't even play most of the season?

No, b/c that's asinine.
