I quit using a rice cooker when my old one broke that I had had for about 12 years. I tried 3 different inexpensive ones from places like Target and Walmart, and they all sucked. Black and Decker makes one that I wish I could shove up someone's arse at Black and Decker.
I went back to making it in a Magnalite pot, and I've never looked back.

What's so hard about measuring 4 cups of water, boiling it, putting in two cups of rice and a slab of butter, covering a letting simmer for 30 minutes?
