Texas giving up on Seastrunk/Reed?

Longhorn nation dont like the fact Seastrunk/Reed skipped Texas' camp this past weekend.

some good news, some bad news. First, with the bad news. The first summer camp was supposed to be a major opportunity to get several major recruits back to Austin to let them bond with the rest of the class. For Lache Seastrunk, that never happened. With recent visits to Auburn leaving Seastrunk raving about the small town in Alabama, the hopeful storyline was that Seastrunk would visit and be reminded why he has long had Texas high on his list. Didn't happen.
Right now it's unclear why Seastrunk did not attend, as expected, but his absence speaks volumes about his current priorities. As Mack Brown always says, he only wants to recruit kids who want to be at Texas and right now it seems that Seastrunk is moving in other directions. It might not be long before Texas does the same. Do the Longhorns pursue another running back in the class if they stop recruiting Seastrunk? My money says no.
Given Seastrunk's absence, it wasn't surprising to learn that his close friend Trovon Reed also did not make it to Austin, choosing to camp in Baton Rouge on Sunday. Reed had already fallen off the Texas radar some time ago, but probably sealed the end of his recruitment by the Longhorns by his choice of camping at LSU

Why no oofer from LSU? Are we full at CB? Who are we waiting on?

Had already pretty much given up on Reed but yeah I'm pretty much there on Lache too. Whatever college he does choose I'm pretty certain at this point that it won't be the one an hour down 35.

I wouldn't if i were them. But I've heard several Tex fans say that Mack Brown has an unwritten policy of : "If you don't want to be here, good riddance"
Brown has more class than to say it that way but a few Texas fans say he's like that when it comes to recruiting.

That's basically his stance and it's a stupid arse policy. He'd never make it in the SEC w/ the weak crap, and he may just miss out out on the best RB in the country b/c he's too scared/lazy to fight for him.

why? it's not like it would hurt them to keep recruiting LS, unless there's another RB they'd take this year, and there's not.

I honestly don't understand Seastrunk. Did he not watch Jamaal Charles? Ramonce Taylor? Texas has proven it knows how to use a back like Seastrunk.
Auburn? Come on, the last time they were any good offensively was 2004 and they had two bruiser type backs. And that OC is long gone. Plus you have a coach who has done nothing but lose since leaving Auburn the first time. I just don't get it.
Oh well. Its his career.
As for Texas.....they are having tough luck with the HBs lately. I'm thinking of Darrell Scott. I wonder how that Colorado choice is working out?

this is the attitude that has long kept texas out of the MNC picture. if it wasnt for nick saban offering vince young as a WR then texas would have zero MNC.
i do like this approach, but sometimes there are exceptions and lache seastrunk is on of them.

Malzahn is recruiting him on look what I did for McFadden, Felix Jones
We all know McFadden/Jones were studs before and after Malzahn, but that's valuable recruiting tool
I've also seen Seastrunk say Auburn has a history of putting RBs in the NFL, so whatever Auburn is telling him, he's eating it up
