What's the odds for the teams on winning the cws?

I was just there this weekend. I remember that LSU was +600. Which means for every $600 you bet on LSU to win you would get back $700. Risk 6 to get 1. I don't remember any other team higher than LSU. Of course this was before the Supers were all wrapped up.

I'm pretty sure it means for every dollar you bet you get back $6.

That is correct. Bet a $100 to win $600, so you would get back 700 dollars, not 1-6, that would be put $600 to get a $100

That was on Sun, Saturday before the Rice game 2 they had LSU at 45-1 to win it all, and I didnt take it

I dont believe you could bet on LSU 45-1.

I know a guy that put money on LSU at 45-1 during the regionals, it can be done, wish I could have had that chance, would've done it in a heart beat.

what book was offereing this?

Yeah it was 45-1 back before the regionals started, they obviously change as the field narrows. I wish I had taken the bet too.

Chuck Esposito must be on a drinking binge because LSU 45:1 after clinching game one vs Rice was a huge +EV prop. Problem is that books realize they are vulerable in small markets like college baseball, so they max the bets at relatively small amounts. Sucks that you passed on the bet because you'll have a way to arbitrage or hedge the bet during Omaha. Oh well

45:1 before regional play is still +EV, but 45-1 after we beat Rice once is massively +EV.

Yeah I didn't know that it was at that after the rice victory, just at the begining of regional play... I really wish i had taken that bet now.

ok maybe i got it backwards, but i did bet on LSU to beat Rice on Saturday and it was +250. I bet $100 and got back $140 on the win. So if the +600 was on the other side it would have been correct. As far the Math wiz comment - Go frick yourself.
