Besides LSU...What CWS participant....

would you not mind seeing win.
I dont have any distaste for anyone really except UNC...i grew up in a household of north carolina state fans so there is a little animosity there
as for me though, I have a buddy that plays for arkansas so it would be alright for me if he got to win one...although they would have to get through us to do it and i wouldn't be happy about that...i also attended southern miss for a while so i could live with that too.
thoughts?

Southern Miss. for sure. I have a friend who I graduated with that plays for them. Also with Corky to retire it would be nice to see him go out with a bang.

the guy who played behind me at 2nd base in high school as an underclassmen coaches 3rd for USM now. of course i'm all LSU, but if we don't win it, i would be extremely happy for him to have that chance at winning it as a coach.

I live/work in Hattiesburg. I have many friends and relatives who are alumni. My employee goes to school there. And it would be a great "Cinderella" story, plus lots press for the school and region.
That said, if it came down to LSU vs. Southern Miss I would be decked out in purple and gold hoping for a three game series with lots of extra innings resulting in a LSU National Championship.

Like I said other than LSU I want Southern Miss. to win, but honestly I think they are going to be blown away VERY early by the caliber of the bats they will be facing.

yeah,
people said the same thing about fresno state...how is their pitching gonna get anyone out...i guess it doesn't matter when your team hits close to .500 for the series

Cal State would probably be the easiest fans to deal with since the school doesn't compete on the National scene except in any other sport that I know of.

Hoops team made the dance 2 years ago, but you are spot on about other sports. Baseball to Fullerton is like Football to all SEC schools.

I don't want anyone from the ACC to win (because I really like being able to say they haven't won a CWS since Wake Forest in 1955!) I don't want Texas to win because right now they have 6 championships and I want to catch up to them this year. If LSU didn't win, I wouldn't mind seeing a cinderella like Southern Miss win.
