Tuesday Tiger Trivia -- Delayed Season Openers (6/2/09)

LSU Football Season Openers have suffered a rash of delays, postponements, push-forwards, etc. since 2003.
Except for 2006, the opening kickoff hasn't happened on-time since 2002.
(2007 technically kicked off on-time, but is unique and worth noting in this question also)
* * * Name the year and the reason for the delay, etc. * * *
Rules / Notes
- NO researching this on the internet, media guide, etc. (or other sources) - that's no fun!! What are your best guesses?
- partial answers are fine
- I have the answers and I will post them as soon as someone gets it correct
- feel free to check my answers - I try hard not to, but mistakes/omissions do happen

I saw lots of correct (first) answers!!! Good job to SNAPPERHEAD, Godfather1, and JustSmokin
CORRECT ANSWERS
2003 - lightning and torrential rain caused a 39 minute delay of Game 1 vs. UL-Monroe
2004 - an hour long deluge caused a delay of Game 1 vs. Oregon State
2005 - Game 1 vs. North Texas was postponed to mid-season due to Hurricaine Katrina; Game 1 (Part II) vs. Arizona St. was moved to Tempe due to Hurricaine Katrina; Game 2 (new "home-opener") vs. Tennessee was postponed two days, to Monday, due to Hurricaine Rita
2006 - on-time (UL-L at LSU, 7pm in Tiger Stadium)
2007 - on-time, but played on Thursday, August 30 (the first Thursday, regular-season LSU game of the modern era - also a rather rainy night in Starkville)
2008 - the approach of Hurricane Gustav caused a push-up of the Appalachian St. at LSU game from 4pm to 10am

2003 -- season opener vs. UL-M(?) delayed for a while by heavy, heavy rains and lightning.
2004 -- season opener vs. Oregon State also delayed by bad rainstorm.
2005 -- Katrina of course; North Texas was scheduled opener and postponed. Actually opened a week later as the "home team" at Arizona State in Tempe, which was originally scheduled as a home game.
2007 -- opened on Thursday night at Miss. State for first regular season Thursday game in LSU history (or at least in a very, VERY long time).
2008 -- Opener vs. Appy State moved up to 10 AM to avoid impending hurricane.
I was at each of those season openers except for Mississippi State in '07.

Is this the year we had a streaker during the delay?
