I'm probably going. The only thing holding me back is it's like a $90 cab ride each way from SoBe to the stadium.

If we can find a few Saints fans ahead of time to split the cab fare with there and back we'll pretty much be in.

I know that sounds like a stupid reason to not go, but that's an extra $200 essentially for nothing.

I'm going with a group of about 35 people. We're all staying at whatever hotel we get our points from. Some of us are staying at the Marriott South Beach. Some are staying next door at the Hilton.

South Beach hotels charge you like $30 a night for parking. Not worth it.

Somebody offer to share a cab with us, yo. We'll pay our fair share.

Also - is everybody falling for that ticket offer through the Dolphins? I'm going to wait for the Phins to get off to at 2-5 start and then buy 50 yard line seats behind the Saints bench for like $80 apiece.

Miami fans fricking suck - there's no reason to pay face value for endzone seats when you can get the best seats in the stadium for cheap once the Phins lose a few games.

Somebody who isn't banned from SR.com might want to post this information on their travel thread.

Here's the goods.....

FWIW here's some info that I found on public transit to the game. Sucks but that stadium is in BFE and gameday buses are fun if your team wins.

"AP & Sage,I did some research online & wasn't satisfied so I called Miami Dade Transit & spoke to a living, breathing person! The Park & Ride I mentioned has been discontinued. You can get to the stadium from S.Beach by using 2 buses. The bus fare is $1.50 per person,so that's $3.00 each way,per person. You would need to take Bus Route "S" in front of the C.V.S Pharmacy at the intersection of Washington Ave.& Lincoln Road. This bus takes you north thru Miami Beach & turns left on 192 St.& crosses Biscayne Bay & will stop @ Aventura Mall. It's here @ the Mall that you get off & switch buses. You now have to get on Bus Route 99.This bus will go west to the stadium. On the website,it said you would have to walk 5 blocks to the stadium.I asked the person I spoke to twice about this. She said that's no longer so.The stadium is at NW 199 St.& NW 27 Ave.She said bus #99 stops there! There's another way to get there from S.Beach but that would take you thru some of Miami's rough neighborhoods.Routes S & 99 pretty much keeps you away from them.Good luck & Go Dolphins!!!"

South Beach to Dolphin Stadium

"Just got back from miami. We got to the stadium by bus. It cost $8 dollars return. You will need to get the route S bus from the intersection of Washington Ave & Lincoln Road to Aventura Mall. From outside the mall you need to get the route 99 bus. This will make a stop about a 5 minute walk from the stadium. You can clearly see the stadium from the bus stop and is an easy walk. The times for these routes can be found on the miami dade transit website. I would recommend getting to the game about an hour and a half before the start as the atmosphere outside the stadium was fantastic. Hope this helps and enjoy the game."

I was thinking the same thing but I was trying to get 35 tickets together so we went ahead and pulled the triger on the lower corners. Sure we could have all waited but would have ended up spread out throughout the stadium. PLus 92 a ticket isn't so bad compared to what I normally pay for good tickets to road games. Last year I paid 200 per for Wash and Denver. And my saints season tix are $130. This Phins ticket will be the cheapest ticket I pay for all year.

You will be staying about 5 blocks from me. The clevelender just reopened in April. I think the pool area is now open or is opening soon as well. very cool place and awesome location.

I got a 4* hotel on Priceline for Miami Beach and it's the Eden Roc Resort - was only $113 a night for the winning bid. Little bit north of the nightclubs but I don't mind paying for a $2 cab ride a few times that week.

This place has gotten great reviews - it's on the beach and has like 4 pools as well.

We've also stayed at the Chesterfield, West Palm resort, and the Delano (when my GF's grandparents were paying.) All were really nice but believe it or not this one even has better reviews on TripAdvisor than the Delano.

Just thought I'd share.
