looks more like a track commitment more than a football commitment.

Track commitment but he may try to play both.

At 5'9, 175 he won't play SS.

He's about as big as Ron Brooks who's getting a strong look at SS. Plus, he's probably got a little growing to do.
You're right in that the odds are against him at that size.

I guess Coach Miles was serious about recruiting speed. That alone gives this kid some value.

2009 signee?
article says 2009 graduate. also unclear whether he has committed now or will be committing in near future

That article was more about Jeremy than Cornell.

Looks more like they are trying to land his little brother with the signing of big brother.
I like the strategy!

What makes Hill a valuable commodity is his speed. That asset will land him a spot on the Tiger track team as well. Hill (5-9 175) was the Class 3A state champion in the 200 meters this season and the runner-up in the 100 meters.
Hill finished 3rd in the 55 meter dash in the Division II indoor finals this past February and also finished 10th in the 100 meters at the national indoor championships in New York.
His 200 meter time of 21.4 this past season was the 2nd fastest time in the country this season by a prepster in the United States.

Jeremy Hill will be one of the top runners in the nation and is already being courted by top BCS programs. LSU running backs coach Larry Porter is all over Hil, but will have to beat out USC to land him in two years.
