These XM announcers just said, the Bama pitcher made a rather inauspicious introduction.

My only major complaint about Hawthorne is that he calls it the pistol formation anytime the QB is not under center.

Hawthorne is our Harry Carey in a way. Both made ALOT of blunders...but were extreme homers and colorful. They both wore their hearts on their sleeves. JH has been at LSU since I was a teenager...so He's almost like family..

i love hawthorne even though he cant call the game perfect like all us on the rant could. ive listened to him call games my whole life and its gonna suck when he retires

I've listened to almost every game this year and have gained a new respect for Hawthorne. Baseball might be his best venue.

He may be the voice of the Tigahs but he's still Horrible Hawthorne IMHO.
I hear he cusses like a drunk sailor at the local poker games. I keep waiting for him to slip during a football game. Now that would be funny.

Suck for who? the people who like poor radio announcers? Sorry you had to listen to him your whole life a shame you didnt hear John Ferguson u might have a different opinion
