Does he play today? If so where and who sits? Where does he hit in the lineup?

Discuss.

Well, supposedly Bama is throwing Austin Hyatt who is a right handed pitcher today. So I would say that there is some possiblility that Landry starts. As for who sits, I have no idea. I would imagine Coach PM will take care of that for me so I don't have to worry about it.

Landry will start, a righty is pitching, Ochinko will sit, Schimpf to 1st

Gotta sit Ochinko. I could get him out...5th grade changeup on the outer half = weak leftside groundout.

I think this is the most likely to happen today. I was really curious to see if Coach sits Nola for the error yesterday and puts Schimpf at 2nd DJ at SS and Leon in OF.

One error on a play that would've been bang bang isn't a dealbreaker for Nola. He settled into the game after that flub.

I don't think he will start. It is to late in the year to start messing with the line up.

I doubt that this happens. That'd be a pretty quick hook just for one error that didn't even hurt us. Plus, that would show a lack of confidence in Nola who has been pretty solid at SS so far. I didn't get to watch much of the game, but from what I gather, Nola played good the rest of the game defensively

Honestly, he could sit Mitchell and play Landry. Mitchell looked terrible at the plate last night and Landry fielding skills are just as good, even better than Mitchell.

Plus, I heard that Landry is looking to transfer because he isn't playing that much and coach didn't give him a reason.

I agree. I think Nola will pan out to be a great SS for us. I just don't know if it is time to platoon Ochinko. Remember he was like 0-14 before he went on a month long streak of absolutely unbelieveable hitting. Thats the kind of guy you want in the linup for the post season when you NEED people to get hot.

It takes more than skill to win it all, it takes getting hot at the right time.

if he isn't smart enough to figure out the reason he wasn't playing, then i'm okay with him leaving

Wow news to me. Hope its not true. Maybe a second trip to Omaha and knowing that JMitch will be gone next year will help him rethink this.

Yea I mean, platoon for one year and you're the man then next. It's not like he hasn't played at all. The guy I feel for is Helinihi. Dude has fallen off the map.

yeah, he wasnt hitting that great but he never put him in after that, not even for mid-week games

last week he was on fire, coach should put him in since looking at yesterday, we need the bats

This is kinda my feeling for why Nola and Leon should be platooning the 9 spot. Nola is a freshman who I'm sure wasnt expecting to play this much this year. I don't think you hurt his confidence platooning him with a guy who is like 11 of his last 14.
