Kenny Bell going to ULM now?

I heard Saban asked him to grayshirt and Bell got mad. Now he might enroll at ULM or either sit out the year and go somewhere new in 2010. I guess this is part of the process.

He had a scholarship to his homestate childhood favorite and let Saban talk him out of it. I want to feel sorry for the guy, but he did make a boneheaded move. Oh well, I hope he does well in some way that won't be detrimental to the school that offered him a real scholarship.

if this is true then Bell really screwed up....i guarantee that Les wasn't going to greyshirt him....hopefully one day all these high school athletes that think Saban is god will wake up and understand that he's a compulsive liar and never keeps his word.....he is a great coach...but he's a shitty human being...

FWIW, he's not the only person on Earth reporting it. Others have indicated that Bell was told to greyshirt and he is obviously pizzed. Also, this is not shocking news since many here have already discussed that Bama was not expecting to get Bell's signature so it was somewhat of a "oh shite" type deal.
Time will tell. I think the ULM stuff is speculative at this point. He could just as easily end up at Tech. Either way, Bama fans shouldn't be too worried.

I remember those rumors from a couple of months ago. I didn't believe them then and I don't believe them now that CPA has attempted to resurrect them. Bama needs receivers, so if anyone was going to get a greyshirt, I don't think it would be a receiver. Much less, a receiver from Louisiana, thus harming Saban's future attempts to get players from Louisiana. Plus, nobody knows who is going to greyshirt yet because Bama isn't done with having current players leave this year.
On the other hand, if people had said Bell was told that he was among the players who might be considered for a greyshirt if it becomes necessary, that might be possible. I'd still doubt he'd be in that group or that he was told that, but I suppose it would be possible.

Yea, the numbers just didn't add up. If he didn't get the expected attrition/transfers etc. something had to give. I wonder if he'll sign another 30 this year. I hope he doesn't have a spot left for DeMarcus Millner.

Just saying but all these rumors have come from opposing team fan bases with no validity to anything. If I don't see a link with some sort of evidence it's bullshite until then as far as I'm concerned.
