Not right now the start up money is insane, upwards of 5-10 million.

It wouldn't generate much. UNO students in general seem to be pretty apathetic about athletics.

If South Alabama and Louisiana College are able to have a football team, UNO certainly can.

I agree. I mean there's a lot of Div 1aa teams in the area they can play against where they wouldn't have to travel as far. And I'm sure some Major Div 1a team will pay them to travel to their stadium to beat them down.

The student base at UNO sucks as far as caring about school athletics.
No way football would work. If anything, they should drop all peripheral sports and just focus on basketball and baseball.
I also think Tulane should drop football and pool all of those resources into rebuilding their basketball program. It's ridiculous that Tulane can't be like a George Washington or Boston University and make the tournament 33% of the time.
