in professional sports. The way he has completely changed the culture of that team into such an unselfish, defensive-oriented team is remarkable. Not to mention convincing the best player in the world to buy into his system. A lot of people on here used to make fun of Brown, but I think he has proven himself to be one of the better coaches in the NBA, and he doesn't get a lot of credit. Anyway, to Mike Brown.

And I do know he won Coach of the Year, that's not what I'm talking about.

Please. A team with Lebron on it can coach itself. If you think Mike Brown is behind their success you're nuts.

mike brown really is a very good coach though. he wasn't when he first arrived in cleveland, but he's improved considerably. this season he made the decision to let one of the other coaches run the offense and it seems to be paying off

Didn't he just win coach of the year? What other recognition can he get?

1) how do you remember that?

2) I might not pick him 3rd for my team, but it'd be really hard to find 3 coaches with a better resume than Jim Tressel.

Lebron makes it easier but, Brown was under Coach Pop in San Antonio for a while so he knows the correct way to defense and how to be very solid of the offensive end.

But he got beat in the BCSCG 2 years in a row!!!!

-Typical Moron

Totally overlook the fact that he MADE it twice and had his team play Texas damn close in a game they were expected to get blown out in.

Brown is a good coach no doubt, I wouldn't say "one of the best" though. Anyone saying LeBron would make them look good...what about Phil Jackson?

I'm glad I'm not the only non-retard when it comes to Tressell. Same with Stoops. Some people are actually stupid enough to think it's better to lose 2 regular season games and NOT make the championship game than to make it and lose. I'd much rather have the chance to play for it. Because eventually, you are going to win(which both Tressell and Stoops did in their first tries).

Current coaches I would rather have than Mike Brown in no particular order:

Phil Jackson
Popovich
Sloan
D'Antoni
Larry Brown
Karl
Carlisle
Adelman
McMillan

maybe Flip Saunders
