I think it is a valid argument that officials ref lebron more favorably than kobe.

Neways, Karl knows the only way to stop kobe is to beat him up and get him tired. I don't think it will work though. Lakers in 7.

refs would not let this happen to lebron.

Denver's D on Kobe

I guess their strategy is to just beat the shite out of the guy? It is ridiculous the fouls dahntay jones and company are committing on kobe.

she3llhaha all you do is throw out lebron and kobe stats to back up lebron. its like your life's mission.

Anyways awesome game kobe closing it out big win im going to say lakers in 6. I am very interested to see how lebron matches up with the magic. with rashard lewis on the outside, turkoglu with size and skill, and dwight howard at the rim they might have the recipe for success against the Cavs.
1. Kobe
2. Lebron
3. D-Wade
4. Amare Stoudamire (when healthy)
5. Chris Paul

that's because you are either stupid or you let an emotional bias cloud your judgement. this is basically what you're saying: "i watch kobe score fewer points while shooting worse, pull in fewer rebounds, assists, blocks, and steals but he just looks better because after missing three in a row he can hit a difficult shot". awesome

why are you such a douche bag?

i like who i want to like a-hole and i know many people would agree with me that kobe is better. FG % does not mean shite when comparing the players because of the different shots they take.

kobe is better than lebron, beasted him this season one on one with a fricked up finger and a flu or whatever he had.

and how about this one...when the U.S. team was in trouble against spain (the only time in the tournament), the ball went to kobe and he hit the clutch shots in the gold medal game. look it up.
she3ll:

why do you care so much? i watch NBA as much as i can and havent missed many playoff games this year. i go online and read pretty much any interesting nba column on espn.com. i follow it very carefully.

and you know what? i think kobe is the best player in the league. lebron number 2. please throw out some stats to tell me im wrong. it wont matter.

just watching games over the season i think kobe is better. watching him pull up from anywhere to take difficult shots that lebron nor anybody else who EVER PLAYED for that matter would even dream of taking, and draining them. and you just shake your head and say "thats kobe." that is why kobe is better IMO. notice she3ll, IMO. not Ishe3llsO.

the best player in the world

Kobe plays for Mike Brown??
man so now johnson, horford, and williams are hurt?? just when it couldnt get any uglier...
if lebron faced jordan in a game 7 he would win???????????????!!!!

has lebron ever even won a game 7? are we talking about the same michael jordan here? THE michael jordan. c'mon now.

people the hawks are so weak they are using zaza pachulia as center in game 2 without horford. ZAZA PACHULIA. he couldn't stop chris johnson let alone lebron driving to the hole.
are you kidding me? you have got be joking.

cavs, celtics with no garnett, and the magic better than the lakers, nuggets, and rockets(highest seed remaining in the west though san antonio was the 3)????

Nuggets and rockets would wreck the celtics and magic. the magic are up and down and boston is not nearly as good as when they had garnett. then you have lakers and cavs, which the records in the regular season would consider a flip of the coin though LA is 2-0 versus the cavs this season.

c'mon man the east is so weak. the hawks got blown out by the heat three times. THE HEAT. THREE TIMES. And on top of that they lose horford and williams from an already thin lineup.

the west is a lot stronger than the east.

Lakers>Cavs-hard to say but LAs 2-0 record is impressive. it isnt a coincidence that the only time the cavs lost at home was the only time LA was in town.

Nuggets>Celtics-Nuggets looked really impressive dismantling the hornets. Celtics have no KG and havent been overly impressive.

Spurs<Magic-this one would go to the spurs easily if they had ginobli. im really not too impressed with the magic but they are still in it despite trying to lose to the 76ers.

Trail Blazers>Hawks-obvious one.

Rockets>Heat-not even close.

Mavs>76ers-without a doubt.

Hornets<Bulls-any team that gets beat by 58 sucks.

Jazz>Pistons-not close.

So 6 of 8 go to the west with lakers/cavs being a close one.
haha you make it sound like getting to the finals is so easy to do. if we are going by abysmal final performances you have to remember cleveland getting swept by san antonio.
Kobe had 16 after the first quarter on 7-11 shooting against the rockets. Rockets D is definitely one of the top 3 Ds in the league. Hawks not so much. And WITHOUT marvin williams and al horford the hawks stand no chance, if they had one to begin with. lebron had his highlight reel plays but i have to say, so far, kobe was more impressive last night. but we will see how the second half turns out.
first of all lebron and kobe are two completely different players.

lebron is a facilitator and a drive-first player.
kobe is a scorer with the best jumper in the nba, but can facilitate too.

as for stats, they really dont tell the whole story.

Think about the makeups of the team:
Cavs:
built around lebron..spot up shooters everywhere. even their point guard is a spot up shooter. lebron gets most of his assists by kicking it out. this is by design to take advantage of his driving ability.

Lakers:
kobe has a different role than lebron in a different offense. the triangle offense doesnt lend itself to a high number of assists (jordan's assists dropped when phil came in).

as for field goal percentage, think about the shots they are taking. lebron is driving to the rim and dunking while kobe is taking jumpshots. of course his field goal percentage is lower. no surprise that kobe has a higher 3 point percentage and free throw percentage.

also, lebron piles on the stat sheet because that is what his team needs him to do. he gets the ball almost every possession. its a lot like dwade in miami. both control the ball more than kobe does in the triangle offense. more ball control=more opportunities for stats.

anways, IMO both are great players. lebron is the physically most dominant player in the league while kobe is the best scorer in the league.

in the end i would have to take kobe because of clutch shooting, will, and the fact that he can make a jumper from anywhere on the court. the one weakness in lebrons game is that he can go cold from outside and become ineffective as a scorer IF you can keep him out of the paint. that is obviously a big if.

i know this is way too long but i would also make this point: kobe is a better skillwise passer than lebron. lebron gets more assists to spot up shooters but kobe's passes are usually prettier and at a higher level of difficulty. that is all.
