LSU beats UF this season because of UF's offense

I said it first. Here is why I say this:
New quarterbacks coach Scot Loeffler is trying to improve Tebow's throwing mechanics and get him ready for the NFL. The Gators will have Tebow under center on occasion. Emmanuel Moody will get the opportunity to be an every-down running back.
I think this is a huge mistake on Urban Meyer's part. Not only will their line not be good enough to make big enough holes for Moody on a consistent basis, but they are getting away from what made them so dynamic and fast last year. Defenses won't have to stop the Harvin's and Murphy's anymore so I expect them to be alot more capable of making UF's offense sputter.
There are no problems on a defense which returns its top 22 players. Florida may use a 3-3-5 as its base formation on defense.

Right. The coach who has won 2 NC's in 3 years knows less about his own team compared to the rant. lawl

I dunno. I wouldn't expect to see this very often, it's contrary to Tebow's strength as a running threat, and contrary to Meyer's offense. Also, is it a given that Moody will be carrying the ball 15-to-20 times a game? What about Demps and Rainey?
I know Tebow wants a shot at the NFL, but I doubt either he or Meyer would radically tinker with the offense for the benefit of one player (even if it is TeeGod). You may see Tebow under center occasionally, but I think for the most part we're gonna see the same Gator spread offense with some new faces.

Dude, seriously, this is just the type of offseason BS that goes around about every team, every year. Its talking points. That's it.
Meyer knows what he's doing, and if they happen to try a few new formations and he doesn't like them, he won't call them in the games. Simple as that. The UF offense isn't going to be a problem.
God, can people really not decipher actual news and the constant attempt by the media in this 24 hour news society to fill air time?

So, you think it's likely we can score more points on them although they return everybody from a unit that allowed just 12 points/game last year?

My point is this... even IF their offense will remain the same for the most part, those 5-10 plays a game that will be different are gonna cost them. That's what Im saying. Close games only come down to a handful of plays.

Um, if I do recall we scored 21 on that same team... IN the swamp.... WITH Jarrett Lee/Andrew Hatch as our QBs. So to answer your question, YES.. I do think we can score more than them.

can we keep the LSU-UF football game posts to a minimum this week, it confuses me with LSU baseball

it's like deja vu all over again

Yeah, but they scored alot more than we did.
You're kind of missing that aspect.
THat's kind of an issue when you are trying to win a game.
They should have better QB and defensive play than us.

Do you honestly think Murphy, Demps, and Rainey aren't gonna get some of those carries every game? Face it, there offense will be just as good this year. Maybe a small dropoff at worst. But still, you said those 5-10 plays difference would be the difference in a close game. While that is true, we didn't actually make it a close game last year. 5-10 plays different would have maybe kept them from getting over 50, but they still would've won big.

You know its bad when trying to find an opponent's weaknesses you try to find faults with an offense that averaged 44 points a game.

I 100% disagree, and I think Les Miles would too. You guys can't see through your own pessimism. I presented straight facts. By the way, 44 points a game was LAST YEAR, with Harvin and Murhpy. You're telling me they've got an immediate replacement for both of them? No drop off? Yeah, okay.

Unfortunately, Meyer has proven that he can utilize his talent. I dont think they will stumble much on either side of the ball. I just hope we can hit Tebow early and often, behind the line.

I didn't say that at all. I'm just saying UF has an offensive system that has proven to be great, and assuming that Meyer is going to just throw that system out of the window and start putting Tebow under center 5-10 times a game if it isn't working is stupid.
If he tries it and it stalls the offense out, Meyer will stop doing it and go back to what has worked pretty much to perfection the past two years with Tebow. Simple as that.

You need a brain transplant.
They points they average a game has increased every year Meyer has been at UF.

I see us getting at Tebow alot more. First, because Brick Haley is actually teaching technique now (where as Earl Lane wasn't), and because if there is a weak point on the UF team, it is their O-line.

That has nothing to do with you saying they will play better than us defensively and at the quarterback position.

Which is fine, as I would gladly face the same spread offense without Harvin and Murphy than one with. I say bring on that spread, we've beat it before and we can certainly do it again.
