The LSU fans were outraged, calling Tulane a second rate school, screwing over LSU, scared to play, pussies etc... What say you now? I haven't seen rain since 5AM and no rain now. What gives

It was raining hard at 6:00 but it cleared around 6:30. I thought if it kept going like that it would be cancelled but it cleared by 6:30 where they could have started the game for 7 maybe a little later than that.

It poured down at the Box for almost an hour between 5:30 and 6:30 tonight. And it was still raining when I left at 6:30 figuring there was no way they could get the game in although it had not been called off yet. I know. I was there. Does that answer your question?

On campus there was rain at game time but it there wasn't any at 7 and there isn't any in sight. So, yeah it was a little premature to cancel the game.

but it was an easy postponement, both teams are available tomorrow night, and Tulane is close.. no need to play on a drenched field if you have the next day available..

I got to the stadium at around 6:00 and it rained like a MOFO for about 30 minutes (it was raining slightly for about 30 minutes before that), but I don't see why they didn't start at 7:00.

I take it you don't live near campus? I was driving in from Lafayette around 6ish and drove through an absolute monsoon (multiple cars were pulled over on the shoulder). Did it even rain in New Orleans on the afternoon the first game was supposed to be played?

Yea, some of us came all the way from Houma. They could have got the game in. Sad thing is 5 minutes away near College Dr, it hadn't rained and didn't. Damn, I may not get off in time to make it to the game Wed. And I had my son with me. It was his B-Day Mon. and this was part of his present.

The difference is that the game here was postponed after it actually rained and drenched the field. The game in NO was postponed several hours before it was forecast to rain and it did not rain.
