These guys actually have Tyson Jackson going at #5.

Many have him going well into the top ten now. One of the hottest risers after Sanchez.
I'd say Browns, Packers, and Broncos most likely. The Chiefs love him too. If they trade down look for them to nab him.

A lot of places are reporting this.

it's a highly sought after position in this league and he is a perfect fit for a 3-4 defense. yeah guys like maybin or orakpo may bolster more sacks but aren't they more of a lb/de hybrid.. whereas jackson is more a stable/safe run stopping mainstay on the defensive line..
really i have no idea what i am talking about.. just spewing out whatever i can think of to justify tyson jackson's value in this draft..

Watch the draft and then you'll see why. His versatility allows him to fit into just about any scheme and he's got all the tools to succeed at the next level. It'll be a surprise if he's not a top ten pick at this point. A LOT of teams are rumored to have him high on their boards.

Not 3-4 DE.
4-3 DE = 3-4 OLB

Guys like this are what makes DEs so valuable.
See the highest paid DE in the league Jared Allen.
Jackson is the biggest reach in the draft at 20, at 5 he's turrable.
I have no clue why he is that high.

Teams all over are moving back to a 3-4 and true 5 tech guys are hard to find, hence Jackson's stock - he's perfect for it. If the Dorsey rumors or true, KC is even more likely to take him post a trade.

In a 3-4 you need an OLB, NT, and CB(Depends on the CB v. S) are much more than a DE.
DE is basically a run stuffer in a 3-4 which isn't that valuable.

He's a 3-4 Rush OLB.
He's really valuable because he is the primary pass rusher for their team.
Pass Rush=win
He was also a Rush OLB.

In a 3-4 you need an OLB, NT, and CB(Depends on the CB v. S) are much more than a DE.
CBs are needed in any defense, but can actually get more underneath help in a 3-4 depending on the defensive play call, thanks to the positioning of the OLB and a shaded ILB. The most important keys to a 3-4 are a rush / edge stopper at OLB who's also versatile enough to stand up and drop into coverage on occasion, followed by a solid NT who can stand his ground on double teams, then thirdly, the DE/DT position.
DE/DT is indeed primarily a run stopper in a 3-4 but has to be able to set the edge from a 5 tech position should the OLB on his side step into coverage. They have to be big enough to take on Gs & Ts or both, yet quick & strong enough to move to said edge as needed. Basically, its a slightly undersized but slightly quicker 4-3 DT or a tall, thick 4-3 DE, aka Jackson.
Every down lineman in a 3-4 is responsible for 2 gaps, not one, meaning they have to be able to hold their ground on linemen, make reads, and shed to make a tackle. These guys are hard to find ( but typically not as hard to find as an elite pass rushing 4-3 DE ), hence why so many analyst have 3-4 type dlinemen so high in their draft, namely Jackson.

Disagree. CB is franchise position even on 3-4 Ds

Jacksons rise has less to do with his individual talent and more with lack of depth this draft for 34 DEs.
Go down the list Orakpo, Maybin, Brown, Barwin, English, all look like they are better suited for 34 OLB.
Jackson is definately the only 34 DE with a first round grade
