Inspired by King Joey's thread. Here are mine (in no particular order):

Brown Boudreaux

Gino Giambelluca

Jamie Bice (a good friend of mine, so I'm a little biased...but he was a real head-knocker)

Steve Rehage

I know I'm leaving some great ones off here.

Rehage was a maniac.

There was a guy in 70's who was pretty much like him. His first name was Rusty, I think. The guy was completely fearless.

When Steve Rehage knocked an opposing player's helmet off, they'd have to check to make sure there wasn't a head still inside.

Maybe it's one of the guys above, but several years ago, we had this walk-on that probably weighed 180 pounds with wet clothes on and he was usually the first one down and really layed the wood.

I heard a story that Egloff and Eric Andolsek mixed it up one time in the chow hall. I don't remember who was older than who, but Andolsek was obviously a bigger MOC than Jay. The version I heard was that Andolsek gave him some sh*t for being in line ahead of him and Egloff went after him.

That's a friggin headhunter (if true).

That could've been either Boudreaux OR Giambelluca.

The big story on campus back then about Jay was about his first day at practice. He had come to LSU on a wrestling scholarship just in time to see the program fold. So he walked on to the football team. His first day at practice he (according to the story) decided he didn't feel like being treated the way other walkons were, so he wanted to make a statement. He asked who the toughest guy on the field was, and everybody told him it was Michael Brooks. So he went and jumped on Brooks and (again, according to the story) whipped him on the spot. That got the coaches' attention and he ended up with a scholarship.

I heard this story several times back then, but (obviously) wasn't there to see it myself.

That leaves one option because Boudreaux never played.

Like others said O'Neal, Chad White maybe. Daniel Francis was good on special teams.

Rehage's picture should be in the article when you look up the word "headhunter"

Ryan was fearless as a special team headhunter because he knew he couldn't get hit any harder than I had already hit him for years in practices at Jesuit.
