In state baseball opponents

Yes, we Nicholls baseball fans are glad to be over the mid-week "distraction" of playing the previously ranked #1 LSU too. Our team needs to focus on more important games like the conference weekend series vs Sam Houston. I am glad that our coach chose not to overthrow our best pitcher for a non-conference opponent, instead, throwing a bunch of different pitchers so we can have them all available for the important weekend game.
You see.....an SEC school is supposed to beat a Southland Confernce school all of the time. Admittedly, SEC schools are able to attract a higher quality of athlete, mostly based on school program history and facilities. SEC schools schedule "lesser teams" like SLC teams in order to "buy a win", kinda like a whore. They pay us for our services. Instead, this time, the prostitute left with a big paycheck, and, left the "John" with a case of the clap.

Congrats but on the win, but guess what we are still better than you. I glad you feel the need to come on this board and talk trash. You just proved a point that you don't know how to win. I glad you got some joy out the victory. Now go back to picking up my trash and/or finish digging my ditch.

Doesn't really matter...as far as in state baseball goes
SLU has swept UL this year
Took 2 of 3 from Tulane
Beat Southern
took 3 of 3 from Mcneese
Only loss was worst game of season where the jitters caught them against LSU and we walked 12 w/ 4 errors.
Once they beat LSU next week SLU will have a winning record against all instate teams except LSU which will be 1-1.

ok..as a sane Nicholls alum and diehard fan, I am not here to talk trash in any way. I am thankful for the win and let's move on. I'm aware that LSU would beat the Colonels 9 times out of 10.
One thing that was upsetting is some LSU fans saying this win "made Nicholls' year"
Nicholls' goals are the same as any other teams. Winning conference and trying to get to a regional is the key. There is no ring for a mid-week win.

Actually Skip preferred playing Louisiana teams in order to promote state schools. If you consider yourself a whore that's your problem not ours.

You know...even though i'm a big LSU fan....the reason alot of people in-state can't stand LSU from other small schools...is you guys refuse to give anyone any straight credit. That's a big deal for a small school to have the best in state record.
No one ever claims athletics is in question who's best overall...let us have our small win. Hell i'll prob. be in Ohama w/ my LSU stuff on.
LSU fans always forget that a ton of those 90 + k in Tiger Stadium are from all over the state and not just LSU.

I hate being able to walk across campus in 10-15 min. and having all teachers know students and are willing to help out. It's a bummer.

LSU needs EVERY fan and I'm not trying to knock SLU down at all. Just saying that do something to be rewarded for. UL made it to the semi's a few years ago in Omaha. That was great and Tulane has been there as well. These in state schools have accomplished things in baseball. I pull for everyone in the state when they are playing out of state(we all should). And if SLU makes it to the regional, I will be pulling for them just like everyone else from LA(unless they are playing LSU)....Its only right
