Poor Jacob Cutrera. Read an article yesterday about Cutrera "finally" being the man in the middle.

Then I read Coach Miles comments this morning on Coleman's move to LB. He said if that move works out they would move Shephard to ML and Perry would be the other outside LB. Guess that would mean Cutrera back to the bench.

The LBs are gonna have to play alot of coverage this year..not just fill holes against the run. They Arent coming out of the game much...so putting coleman in there would make alot of sense against the many pass happy teams out there. Now against a bruising running game like Bama's...Cutrera might be in there more. Who knows? But we need speed more than size at LB this year. I trust Chavis.

Jacob will see plenty of playing time though IMO.

He is a great backup, some players are never first string material.

read the article again, it pretty much said the job is his, and you know Miles' outlook on starting seniors. I don't know why some people have been down on him. Every game I've seen him play he did pretty damn good. The hamstring injury really slowed him down, if you ever had one you know how long it takes to heal.

Coleman would play LB only against spread offenses.

No I saw it, and I don't recall Jacob kicking a football after the whistle blew are having a late hit to give the ball back to the piggies.

I'll never forget the play against Auburn last season where Cutrera missed a tackle twice on the same play.

Cutrera isn't that good FWIW. He's an excellent back up.

I've never understood some people's need to take satisfaction in a kid getting demoted or not getting playing time. It's one thing to state you think someone else should start ahead of him but you don't need to phrase it at the expense of someone else. He's still on the team and might actually be able, or need to, contribute at some point in time. He's a kid living a dream and playing a game he loves, probably for a school he loves.

Just my two cents......

No dude that's the right game, all I'm saying is people act like he's terrible and that is just not the case. I'm not saying he'll make all conference, but if he isn't worth a damn like he's made out to be then he wouldn't sniff the field.

I love Coleman at LB and wouldnt mind if Cutrera only played in run situations or against power teams.

Damn can't remember specifics of the game, but were not Highsmith and Beckwith both playing in that game.
