i think it is a better matchup for CBS. I just hope this doesn't mean that the LSU-Ark matchup loses national television.

It will still be televised. CBS has a Saturday game that weekend. If not CBS, then it has to be on the ESPN family.

The Iron Bowl replacing ARK vs LSU as the Friday after Thanksgiving game is not a bad thing for LSU and is not a reflection of CBS respect for our program.

In my opinion, the Iron Bowl is the number 1 rivalry in College Football. Regardless of where the teams are ranked- the game is sold out, brawls are happening before, during, and after the game- and coaches job security is directly linked to success in the series.

I've been to other rivalry games- USC vs UCLA in 1999, Ohio St vs. Michigan in 2005. Neither had the energy or emotion of good SEC match up, much less the Iron Bowl.

As a Tiger fan, I recognize the Iron Bowl is a more attractive option for CBS and the conference.

Lets be real- how many of you feel the same passion for playing Arky as you do Bama, UF, Auburn, or Ole Miss? Except in national championship years, we have struggled to have a full stadium, and up until our last 2 lossess, struggled to respect Arky as a worthy opponent.

Hopefully, this change means an Arky whipping in front of a national ESPN audience the Saturday night after Thanksgiving. Bacon tastes good...

I hope it gets ESPN national attention, but glad the CBS exclusive Friday afternoon attention is gone. After the last two years I prefer this game played in annonymity.

thanks. I don't see why it won't be televised - I just immediately assume it won't be since I went to LSU in the 90's.

Please, after the meltdown that was Auburn football last year, no one outside Alabama cares about Aub this yr. This switch was all about Saban.

At least, in the Ark/LSU game you had two states interested in the outcome.
