Who really wants to win...

The Masters Par 3 Tournament?
Seriously...
Maybe someone who has no shot at winning the main event, like some of the older legends, Nicklaus, Palmer, Player or someone like David Toms or Justin Rose.

You don't think David Toms has any chance to win the Masters??
Actually, not many people do want to win. There have been many players who have intentionally hit the ball in the water to avoid winning the tournament. Some even putted it off the green into the water. Also, anyone who lets his kid putt for him is DQ'd. Personally, I think the whole jinx thing is way overblown. If I was Tiger, I'd purposefully set out to win both one year just to say it can be done.

It would be tough for Toms to win being that he isn't in the field this year.

You'll see Tiger back in the Par 3 tournament when his kids are old enough to caddy. And you're right, he won't hit it in the water on #9 to keep from winning.

Yea, I know...I thought this was a general question. Toms isn't in the par 3 contest either.

Agreed but there is a correlation.

Well, not this year anyway...
I admit I was overly harsh saying no chance.
Toms is one of my favorites and as an LSU fan, I'd love to see Toms win the Masters, US Open, and every tournament he plays in for that matter. However, I do not think his swing holds up well under pressure (neither does his putter for that matter) and that is why he hasn't routinely contended in majors. Although, I think he has a better chance of winning the Masters than he does a US Open.
Toms is a two time winner of the par three contest and nearly broke the "jinx" in 2003.
