Changed his name to Domanick Williams and had a bad knee injury I believe.

Williams is the leading rusher in Texans history... he had a very serious knee injury and was maintained on the team roster IR for a full year.

He was slow on a comeback in which medical staff for the Texans insisted he was good to go... the knee did not feel good to him. I believe he has been out of pro football for a full two years, i.e. released two years ago, and off the field for a full three years.

He played great for the Texans, was popular with the fans and was everything you want in your pro football heroes.

Dominick Williams - three seasons with the Houston Texans... 2003, 2004 and 2005 - 11 games in 2005 - total rushing career 3195 yards and 23 touchdowns.

Williams was released in 2007 prior to the 2007 season.

He was the primary running back when David Carr was getting his arse handed to him week-in, week-out... David Carr will never recover - useless as a gun-shy retriever.

Dominick was one hell of a contributor... did manage to get a contract extension prior to his injury with a solid signing bonus. Provided the monies was managed properly, I expect he could live very well without pro football.

He is a great guy by the way. Has several businesses around the Breaux Bridge area and I have met and hung out with him many times.. I will have to find out some info. Wish him the best though.

I got to meet him at a few years back. He came to the base I'm stationed at to sign autographs and be part of grand opening of our new gym. Real nice guy. All I had was an old LSU hat in my truck for him to sign. The Tiger fans came out in force that day. True story!
