And any chance he'll be back at all for the fall?

of course there's a chance.

it might be pretty slim though.

Its torn. Rehab is tough. But so is two a days. I think, my opinion, he is out until next year , 2010. He's got a shot at the NFL and I would not risk the knee until it fully heals. With KW, CS and RM, I think Ridley would be playing little, or no TB in 09, just like last year. To play FB when you have lived your whole life playing TB is like putting a race horse behind a plow. It may be necessary, but not fun. You"ve got to be a team player, but still, if you are not having fun, your are not having fun.. I think RM was shafted last yearn in that he got to play very little TB. He will get more carries this year. If Ridley was healthy, it would mean fewer for #34.

Agree.Even though the graft is stable at 6 months post-op I would think very few athletes are ready for top notch competition at this time.

The good news is he will only be a sophomore next year so he could still have a great career even if he misses all of next year.

More good news is that i would guess it is Brent Bankston doing his surgery and that guy is the man at repairing the ACL.He did my left ACL 9 months ago and it feels great.I had the right knee done 15 years ago by another surgeon and the hamstring graft Bankston prefers seems alot better as far as recovery than the patellar tendon graft that most surgeons prefer.

Anyway good luck to Ridley!!I think he will still be an incredible back for us in the future.
