Game Plan for LSU Sat.

Here's my take. Anytime Lawson is in the game, LSU needs to pressure the ball. I know it will tire LSU, however, there is noway Lawson can be in great gameplay shape after being off for a few weeks. Once UNC crosses half court LSU needs to play a good bit of zone to try to limit Tyler and try to keep CJ out of foul trouble. On offense, when Lawson is in, they need to run. I know this plays into UNC's favor, but it will also test Lawson's stamina. When Lawson is out they need to go to a deliberate offense and run as much clock as possible.

Exactly the reason we shouldn't do it, they are so much better running the court than us. I think our best chance is to slow this game down to a snails pace and make it a half court game

they should pray and fast, because it would take a miracle.
It is what it is.
It is what it is.

We will attempt more three pt. shots in this game than any this year. And the reasons should be obvious. If we hit em early on, we can penetrate and dish back out or get to the line. Bottom line is the 3's we hit. Gotta make about a dozen.

this i agree with. offensively, we should run our game plan. which involves making terrible shots

Dr JD's drinker dozen(14) game plan.
1)Play with no fear
2)Limit UNC's Offensive rebounding
2)Keep turnovers in single digits
3)MT scoring +30
4)Team shooting +45%
5)Rebound rebound and more rebound
6)Taz scoring +17
7)Need third scorer +13 (BS, CJ or GT)
8)Force UNC to make tough shots <38%
9)Force double digit turnovers and get +7 steals
10)CJ get +5 blocks
11)Knock down 40% of threes
12)Go right at Hansbreaux early and get him into foul trouble
13)Stomp on the big toe
14)Win for Tigernation
That's all. Looks solid,

I've got the same thought Dr.
And the funny thing is, it can be done.
I think Bo Spencer needs to play one of his better games of the year. Especially taking care of the ball.
It would also help if T.Martin could give us a good spark off the bench.
Not sure why, but for some reason I think S.Warren gives us a spark, JMO.
If LSU plays a solid game and shoots well, we have a chance.
If we go into any prolonged scoring droughts, the Tar Heels will skull drag us.

Here's where this becomes a problem ... missed 3's usually result in long rebounds, which in turn start the UNC fast break. I still believe that LSU cannot afford to get into a track meet with the Tarholes. LSU needs to be very selective with their 3's and hit a high percentage (like someone else suggested ~45%). Otherwise it's going to be a looong afternoon.
That said, LSU shocks the 'holes 78-77.
