Hollinger Article

quote:

We love to celebrate little guys in this game, and in particular, pure point guards who make the guys around them look so good.

So it's weird to me to see that we probably have the best player ever of his kind playing right now … and yet he's weirdly gone unheralded. We couldn't wait to throw MVPs at Nash and Iverson and darn near gave one to Jason Kidd, too. But Chris Paul? Somehow, it doesn't seem everyone is totally on board with him.

Its frustrating that none of the national guys even put him in the MVP discussion with Kobe and Lebron. Sure someone might mention his name, but they always seem to have him WAY behind Kobe and Lebron. Its really strange.

Good read. If Paul was playing in Chicago, Boston, LA or New York he'd be much more of a "star."

Looks like I'll be the first to say that DWill is BETTER than CP3. Sorry. CP3 has the stats b/c his team isn't deep enough to share the load. DWill has a deep team. They share the ball and sit out a lot, so the stats are balanced out more. Besides, DWill schools CP3 every time they play. He's CP3's stumbling block. CP3 will have the better stats over all in his career, but that doesn't mean he's the best.

GO DWill and GO JAZZ!!

PER favors guards over bigs and doesn't take into account defense.

And for those who argue that Paul made the ALL defensive team, Chris Johnson just made the All SEC Defensive team. Advanced statistics show that Paul is not a great defensive player.

Last year they did. What about this year's adjusted plus-minus?
