I find it astounding that so many NFL fans are taking the approach that "Jay Cutler is a baby. Grow up."

What? The dude is just entering his prime as a Pro-Bowl level QB. He's smart as a whip (Vandy), has a cannon for an arm and the confidence to back it up, is mobile, young, and injury free. This pissant, goofy eared mofo that will probably last 2 years as the Broncos coach judging from his player interactions thus far comes in and tries to trade his franchise QB right off the bat? Trade Cutler, a Pro-Bowl QB still on his cheap rookie contract for a One-Year wonder making 3 times as much money???

Who in the entire NFL would you take over Cutler?

Matt Ryan - probably
Drew Brees - probably, but Drew is 5 years older
Eli Manning - I'd take Cutler to be honest
Phil Rivers - I'd take Cutler to be honest
Tom Brady - 6 years older, huge injury concerns
Peyton Manning - too old
Carson Palmer - LOL.
Aaron Rodgers - possibly. I still like Cutler more.

Cutler is not a top 5 QB in the NFL. No way would I trust him on my team in a clutch situation.

ETA: Rodgers is bad, just bad.

In 3 years as Saints QB, Drew Brees has never engineered a drive capped by a game-winning pass like this. In fact he's failed to do so about 6 or 7 times. And Cutler did it 2 times in the same game. He also outgunned Brees head to head in Denver earlier this year.

Cutler is a stud.

What are these generic statements? I've given you 2 concrete examples from the last year alone where Cutler has come through in the clutch to win games, despite having the worst defense in the NFL. He was more clutch than Brees in Denver this year (which isn't saying much - every QB has been more clutch than Brees in close games these past 3 years), and he had some really dramatic wins his first 2 seasons as well.

He's a Pro Bowler in his 3rd year whose improved in every measurable category year over year.

Again, what 5 NFL QB's would you take over him right now?

The most I can come up with is 4, and they're questionable:

Eli
Drew
Big Ben
Matty Ice

its not generic

i called it out every time it happened this season, because i had this argument with Powerman when he called Cutler the "best QB in the league".

specific example is the game(i forget against who) where they refs blew the call and gave the Bronco's the game. Cutler lost that game like 3 different times that night

I'd take Warner, Brees, Payton, Brady with one knee, Big Ben, and Matt Ryan before Cutler currently.

Cassel makes 3 times as much and is unproven.

Brady is 31 and coming off a career threatening injury.

Rivers over Cutler? Meh.

Eli? Meh.

Brees - okay but he's got 5 years less to play and also makes 3 times as much.

Okay, so you'd take Kurt Warner over Cutler by that retarded rationale. You're a fricking moron and are eliminated from this thread.
