there's nothing to tell. Its not exactly like we're gonna be bowl banned, the worst that happens is we lose 2-4 schollies and that doesn't effect them.

The only reason that idiot Scarbinsky is trying to make it a big deal is because all of the media is pissed they weren't allowed to know about it, and instead of just saying that because they know fans don't care what they know... he's pretending like its a big deal that the incoming class didn't know. And it isn't. And quite frankly even if there was a threat of major sanctions, its a smart move to not let it get out prior to NSD.

pulling scholarships generally only happens when there was a violation of a major NCAA rule, not just some minor infraction like Kiffin is now famous for perpetrating

I'm not saying that this is ethical but you are right. I can definitely see why the coaches didn't want this to get out before NSD. Too many rumors would be started. Too much bad publicity. Not trying to flame but there was already enough bad pub with Bama's disappointing finish to their season.
