To some degree that is true. They were just talking about the fact that they knew back then that it would cause severe bone damage if taken for a long period of time. But they did know they were "steroids", it just wasn't a big deal at the time.

I don't particularly care if they took them or not. But I thought it was an interesting commentary. LSU's baseball team is already known for using pretty hardcore in the 90s. Sucks to have the football team implicated too.
