There are about a dozen threads on the SEC Rant about this.

Alabama did find that about half the violations were “intentional misconduct” by student-athletes who “exploited” the system to acquire texts and materials of more than $100 value for “girlfriends, boyfriends and other student-athletes.”
lol

Happened at Georgia Southern...Players were just suspended

If there is, it'll come out. Everyone likes to keep a close eye on us. As far as the textbook, other sports will get nailed, but I don't believe the football program will. The NCAA was the ones who reinstated the players to play in 07, after the University suspended them. I can't see the NCAA reinstating players, and then using that to hammer sanctions down. Then again, it is the NCAA.
Ball St had recruiting violations and over $26K in textbook violations and the worst they got was 3 scholarships cut and 2 years probation.

The only people who give a flying feck about you are Alabama fans and fans of Alabama's rivals.
No one else in America gives a shite. Just like no one in Wisconsin gives a crap about LSU football.
Get over yourselves. The sixties was a long time ago.

I'll rephrase that then. Everyone in the SEC likes to keep a close eye on us.
Who knew I'd have to be so literal for someone to understand what I meant?

That's better.
But still, no one in the SEC cares any more about you than about any other team that isn't called Vanderbilt.
