Really? I can understand rooting for Duke if you are a soulless bastard who cheats at solitare, but you can't understand why people would hate a team that ESPN constantly hypes and has a condenscending head coach who we are constantly told how he does things "the right way" (which he doesn't by the way, Duke is just as dirty as eveyrone else in the ACC... it's not that Coach K is extra dirty... he's not... its just that they are no different than everyone else and I can't stand be lectured by that guy)?

Duke is the USC of basketball. Both good academic schools that are justifiably hyped by the media. They're a good team. Get over it. I can see hating ND because they don't deserve it.

To put it another way, I'm a huge Calgary Flames fan. My favorite team. and because of that, I'm a huge fan of Dion Phaneuf. Phaneuf is also possibly the most hated player in the NHL. Now, while I'm a huge fan of his, I of course UNDERSTAND why other people hate him (because he's caused more than his fair share of concussions). I just don't agree.
To say you don't understand Duke hatred is an almost indefensible position. You just don't agree with that hate. which is fine.

Reverse Discrimination. If Duke had all Black players, fans would not hate them as much. Reddick, Laetner, Hurley, Wogo, Ferry, etc.

Call me names because I don't see your jaded point of view? That's pretty dense. I'm not a fan. I just don't see why people get all upset over something so trivial. You must be either relly dense or a hopeless bitter hater IMO. They're successful and they are hyped. End of story. Everyone else is just jeolous or looking despartely for something to complain about. I could care less either way. It's not like the team is full of thugs.

I do hate UNC. For mostly the same reasons.
Once again, I didn't ask anyone to hate Duke, but to say you don't understand it is just dense. Especially since Ramp gave the exact logic by poiting out Duke is the USC of basketball. It's rather easy to understand.

I hate Duke for multiple reasons. Mainly the flopping, the floor slapping, the annoying fans, and the fact they get EVERY call and still complain to the refs.

I'm not upset at all. I just think you're remarkably dense for not being able to UNDERSTAND Duke hatred. I think you're defending a position that has defies reason.
