Dick V question- good one. Answer...not at the top and maybe not in the middle. That conference is stacked!

what kind of talent would Cal bring to memphis if he were in major conference?

memphis would be at the top.

Memphis already brings in top talent. Memphis gets guys from all over the country.

They just played in the national championship game. They recruit talent just as good as or better than talent in major conferences. In the top tier of the hundreds of teams in the Big East IMO.

i am pretty sure i am aware of Cal's recruiting efforts. but Conf USA doesn't help. If he had the draw of being on TV 20 times a year it would be a huge help.

to say Memphis wouldn't compete in the big east is rather stupid.

The big least hasn't won shite in 5 years. They won't this year either.

A game that went down to a buzzer beater.

Rigors of playing in a weak conference every year=?

Similar to our SEC football debate...week in and week out our guys are playing the best. I'm just saying with the number of games you play in bball I don't think they would be a mid-level team in that conference. FWIW

dickie v should stick to what he does best. deep throat unc and duke. memphis would be just fine in the big east and would def crush the middle of the road big east teams

They've been to at least the elite 8 for the last 3 years. They also schedule good teams OOC. Memphis is not the product of a weak conference.

IMO all you frickers are dumb as hell. talking about recruiting and tournament runs and shite. the question is geared towards this years memphis team and nothing else. recruiting, being runners-up last year, are all outta the equation.
