and the hot dog was amazing. Wife had a hamburger that was as good as any I've had as well. Cool old joint in downtown.

Got to see the Tigers beat Kentucky while we were eating. Nice day.

I LOVE me a burger from Angry Dog! I was back in Dallas for business & brought a bunch of BR people. Good choice!

I go there almost weekly, and I completely agree.

Only been once, but will be back...Burgers were great, and the chili cheese fries were amazing! Good selection of beers too

Its usually rated on of the best burgers in Dallas. Its in Deep Ellum, not downtown. Another good burger place in Deep Ellum is Twisted Root Burger. Its damn good but a little pricey. $28 for my gf and I this weekend....burgers, fries and 1 beer each.

Yeah, close enough.

How is the Bakers Ribs next door?

I'll be back over there next week or so.

I checked out the websites for both. Angry Dog looks more like a bar and Twisted Root looks more like a reastaurant. Is that right?

Thanks for the info. Hopefully the food will stay good long eanough for me to take my girlfriend to eat there when I'm in Dallas for the Keith Urban concert. She saw it on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives so now we have to try it.

The Deep Ellum one still kicks arse. Usually, these Dallas "mini-chains" retain the quality at the original locations. Its their new places out in the burbs that suffer.....Glorias and Dodies are examples of this.

Ouch...glad my gf doesn't make me go to crap like that.
