These pros are hitting 3 wood further than I hit my 5 hybrid and gap wedge combined….and they are dropping these shots in the heart of the fairway. (I am nearly 60 but still).
Watched 3 pros put their 3 woods 310 yards out….all ending up 8 yards of each other.
The precision of professional golf is an amazing skill set.

I very casually watched the big tournaments over the years and got certainly got caught up in the tension and emotion of some....but I didn't fully understand how ridiculously elite those guys are until I started playing a couple years ago. The one thing that continues to amaze me the most is how they can consistently hit greens from 200+ and then be genuinely disappointed that they hit the wrong section of that green, leaving themselves a less than optimal putt.

When I was in high school, I used to caddie for the FedEx St Jude pro am every year. Watching those dudes up close play golf...it's different.
